Wednesday 20th February

10.00 – 13.00    Interactive Session .  QUALITY: How relevant is quality to Health Care Librarians?

As Health Care Librarians, we rightly stress that our skills in sourcing and managing information are central to the quality agenda that is being pursued within the health service. As you will be aware, an entire agency has been dedicated to the development of the quality agenda within the health service. Quality is a multi-faceted concept and can be viewed, defined and understood in a number of different ways. This session will provide you with the insights and understanding of how the concept of quality is being defined and developed within the Irish health service, which together with the viewpoint of a practitioner, will empower you to see and advocate your work within a quality framework.
