At the HSLG AGM 2009, we announced a new bursary award for HSLG members.  The bursary is the Bernard Barrett Bursary, named after former and long-time chair of HSLG, Bernard Barrett.

It is intended that this bursary will be awarded annually, to enable HSLG members to attend and participate in Irish or international conferences.   Attendance and participation at national and international healthcare library/information conferences and events are an important means by which information regarding latest trends and developments in healthcare librarianship may be shared.

Eligibility
All applicants must:

• Be current members of the LAI and HSLG at the time of making an appliction.
• Hold a professional library qualification and have at least 2 years experience of working in a health sciences library.
• Be resident within the island of Ireland.
